Albion sits where the Albion River meets the Pacific, at the northern edge of our regular service area. The mix here is unusual — headland homes with big ocean exposure, river-canyon houses tucked into the redwoods, and a fair number of owner-built and off-grid properties from the 1970s that have been added onto over the decades.

Those owner-built houses are some of our favorite work. They often need structural attention: undersized beams, decks that were never flashed, foundations that have shifted on the slope. We can bring them up to something safe and permitted without erasing the character that made someone build there in the first place.

River-mouth and canyon properties also come with moisture that never really leaves. Ventilation, drainage and proper waterproofing matter more here than almost anywhere else on our stretch of coast.
